Khyl_LemmeHearThat: $200 Jeans, Straight From the Engineer's Chair
Some artists come up through the booth before they step to the mic. Khyl Harris records under the name Khyl_LemmeHearThat, and he is a recording engineer first, an artist second. His EngineEars page credits him engineering for Lambo Go, Chris Alan, and PhillGood, and he has mixed and mastered episodes of the TalkSmackWithMac podcast, even sitting in as a guest. Then, on May 8, 2023, he put out his own record.
"$200 Jeans" is Khyl's only single as a primary artist, and it is a three-way cut with Jae Daytona and Chris Alan. Three minutes and three seconds, explicit, and closing in on 100,000 plays on Spotify, which is a serious number for an artist with 97 monthly listeners. The copyright line reads 2023 Kehlani's Music, a division under We Out Here L.L.C.
That is most of what the public record says about him, and that is fine. No big bio, no press run, no hometown on file. What there is: a guy who spends his days making other people's records sound right, stepping out once to make his own, and a track that keeps finding ears two and a half years later.

"$200 Jeans" is the one. It is the whole catalog as a primary artist, and it is the reason to remember the name. From there, Jae Daytona's "Clicquot" and Chris Alan's "Heard You Miss Me" EP show you the circle Khyl works in.
