About Us

Pixanami Indie Music Blog is about finding the music, art and culture that doesn't come with a marketing budget. We spotlight independent artists: the bedroom producers, basement-show bands, local scenes and self-released records that deserve more ears than they're getting.

Made by people

We only feature music made by people. Artists use all kinds of tools, from drum machines to AI-assisted mixing and mastering, and that's fine. But the songs we spotlight are written and performed by humans, and we don't feature music that's fully AI-generated.

How we find artists

We dig. That means Bandcamp new releases, local show listings, small labels, community radio, playlists and wherever else new music turns up. When something stands out, we look into who made it and write about why it's worth your time.

Every post is researched, edited and approved by a person before it goes up. We link to our sources so you can go straight to the music and support the artist directly.

Submit your music

Artists can send their work to us directly. All we need is a link to the song, your artist name and the song title. Submit your music here.

We listen to every submission. We can't reply to everyone, but the ones that click with us may be featured in a future post. Please send only human-made music: we kindly ask that artists don't submit fully AI-generated songs.

Credit where it's due

Photos and artwork in our posts are credited to their creators, with a link to where they came from and the terms they're shared under.
